Dear Tess...Maybe you could say the same thing to them

that I have heard you say before...I am trying to

adopt a healthy lifestyle and move on to any other

conversation...that way it is not about losing weight

but becoming as well as you possibly can. That might

take any weight loss notice and pressure off. You are

a very strong woman and I know that you will sail

through. I will be thinking of you. Hugs Iris

Thanks, dear Iris. Em said te same thing to me tonight. I appreciate

your love & encouragement. I do believe I am a strong woman, but you

know, some areas we are not as strong in as others. Thanks for being

such a dear friend.

Hugs & Love....

Tess

Try not to worry, Tess. I wish weight weren't such a favorite topic of

conversation for so many people, but accept their comments as

encouragement and nothing else. As Iris suggested, changing the topic is

a good move (have an idea prepared).

You're not doing this for anyone but yourself, so try to keep that in

mind. I know you don't want them to keep tabs on your progress, and they

shouldn't and probably won't, but it's probably very hard not to have

anxiety over that.

You can't necessarily influence what others think or say, but you can

control how you react to them.

Keep focused on yourself and your health and let any comments fall by

the wayside. Your weight shouldn't be important to anyone but to you and

only inasmuch that it adversely affects your health.

I hope you, Christena, and the rest of your family have a great time at

the party! Happy birthday to Christena!

Hugs of courage,
