Hi,

Some years ago a vocal artist named Kim Palmer found refuge in a " porcelain

trailer - a WWII=Army surplus aluminum trailer with only porcelain as a finish

on the inside - no wood, no plastic, no glues, no formaldehyde. To my knowledge

there are still a few of these trailers in circulation. Of course, you still

need a place to put it and utilities hookups.

Unfortunately Kim passed away from MCS inn 06. Her music and a bio are still

available (for free) at http://www.kimpalmersongs.com/

Thank you so much for this link to Kim Palmer’s site. It is so moving to

read of her experience. I have 2 friends who were bad enough to try and get

one of those retrofitted Airstreams. There was also a wonderful movie with

an early nne as someone developing MCS who ended up in a

“porcelain” community of others like her. I can really relate, I do know

that I have classic ME originally and the sensitivities have increased from

that, but I can sure identify. I am quite sure that the disastrous

progression, which left me so much more disabled, that I had 2-1/2 years ago

was due to toxic exposures in large part. (I had moved to a small city to

pursue some aims.)

Everyone thinks where I live is “clean”, but an island wodged between 2

major cities plus nearby mills etc. plus the DAMP CLIMATE is becoming

intolerable too. I’m planning a move to Whitehorse in the spring. It is very

dry, and I can’t take the heat anymore either.

BTW, poor person’s MCS rental protocol? Ask the landlord, anything new in

here, paint, insulation etc.etc. They want to answer yes because they think

it will be more rentable, but of course the correct answer is NO!!! LMAO,

you have to tell then you don’t want them to paint, buy new appliances or

whatever LOL! A landlord’s dream! Thanks again Jerry. Aylwin, just musing.
