Guest guest
I wanted to update on our son! Although things arent perfect he has been having more frequent bm's on his own with less and less intervention(he has gone from several meds down to barely 1 now,I believe that most(not all) medical issues can recover with gi healing). This has taken 3yrs for him to get to this point! He was soooooo severe, gi almost not working at all, horrid seizures, etc. In learning over time and trying to get his bowels moving daily I have come to the conclusion(not 100% on this) that it comes down to virus's/mycotoxins. At this point I suspect a combo of both! Both thrive in the intestines and moves on even to the brain ie. spectrum issues, seizures, motility etc. It seems this is why it is so much worse(constipation/motility) for our son in the winter seasons (virus/bacteria issues). The things used for him was very little supplements for healing(larger amounts in the beginning to less and less in these last few months). Mycotoxins I suspect was the big culprit. The healing took very little combo of supplements. Garlic on occaission(typically used when signs of illness)ie.natural viral toxin killer(hasnt used antibiotics in so long, this is a BIG culprit in the gi/immune damage) plus garlic has the side affect of loose stools, a natural enzyme, etc. Vitamin C, aloe vera juice more regularly but are having to use less and less amounts(this is also a natural defense on the myco/virus issues. Magnesium at least 1 a week in higher dose(also lessining this), I dont know that it should be used daily with those who's issues are motility, it tends to relax the muscles, but not 100% on this. The high dose usage is actually a body toxic overload excreting thing and so the looser stools. OLE- viral/myco killer. We just introduced our son to this not to long ago for a flu that struck and it worked great! Danon yogurt for the probiotics(this was the latest thing we added and I really think it has loosened his stools and of coarse the good bacteria being put back). NO TAP WATER!! I cant stress this enough! Our sons reflux deminshed after we took him off tap. It is loaded with chlorine, although keeps our water safer it in turn is killing our gi balance. The chlorine is also destroying our good bacteria in the gi. Also I really feel we are drinking many pharmacuetical drugs. This has been proven over and over. I suspect one reason for the high increase in infertility/birth defects comes down to the hormones in the water. They are not able to filter this one out. They are also finding more and more that cant be processed out. We stick with spring water, no distilling etc. so the minerals are hopefully still in it. Im leary on how spring/natural it really is but can say 100% our sons gi has improved due to changing the source. We have a long road ahead with our son and all his medical, but I wanted to share with others that there is light at the end of the tunnel! Gi healing is at the top for overall health!! Guest guest
I thought you were all set and totally forgot to ask my doctor about a referral for the Olympia area. I will try (key word) to remember to call them when they are open tomorrow. Feel free to drop me a reminder. Even the thyroid tests. I asked her about my thyroid meds from Erfa and when they were going to get here and she said that she wasn’t sure that they were being ordered now since everything was normal. And last week she had told me that the doctor had sent my prescription to Erfa. I have a follow up appt. with the doctor on Tuesday to discuss the blood work and I am very very upset right now. My thyroid tests are NOT normal. And he did a Total T3 test, not a Free T3 test either... so he didn’t do the right one. Argh.
Guest guest
Steph, Call the doc and ask him to add on the Free T3 test. The lab normally keeps your blood in case there is an add-on. Also, if you take certain medications, including seizure medication, steroids, birth control, female hormones especially estrogen, aspirin, and so on the test will be affected and therefore unreliable. You can mention that since you take _____ the Total 3 testis likely inaccurate, so could we possibly get a FT3 test also. If you don't take any of the above meds, ask anyway. If he has a ego make him feel like it's his idea. You may need to go get your blood drawn again. Why did your doc order the ERFA Thyroid? Doctors can call in the script or fax it, but ultimately patients are the ones responsible to work directly with the pharmacy, pay and pickup or have it delivered to them.
