Guest guest
Oh, I had braces on my teeth for a while too. Same problem except my front teeth did meet -- it was the ones next to them on each side that didn't. I still have a bit of space there. My dentist was aware of the tongue thrust, but unaware of a device for it. Or maybe it hadn't been invented yet. The other thing about the reverse tongue thrust seems to be that I can choke on a drink of water. Not dangerously, but sometimes embarrassing. - Kate On Friday, September 9, 2005, at 03:33 PM, penny wrote: > Her front teeth don't meet, so she can't bite food in the > usual manner. > ...we found > out that the people who have this condition are " tongue thrusters " . > Can't swallow without thrusting their tongue against their front teeth > ...There's a simple device > that won't allow the tongue to thrust. That's all she ever needed. > Grrrrr.....too late now.
