Guest guest Posted December 29, 2008 Report Share Posted December 29, 2008 You should have diluted it to 30% initially and perhaps not increased it over that for sensitive areas. Itching is due to histamine release and possibly dry skin. Some sensitive skin areas can blister with full strength. Always dilute with distilled water. Only add the DMSO to the water due to the release of heat, do not add the water to the DMSO. To make 30% add 3 parts DMSO to 7 parts distilled water. Try aloe vera gel or emu oil for the irritated skin. The histamine release is less with subsequent applications until the Mast Cells are depleted then there will be no itching with continued use.
