Guest guest
I'd try DMSO, also raw honey--which is a wonderful diabetic wound healer. Perhaps switch between the 2. Guest guest
My 76yo mother had a very slow to heal fire ant wound on her foot that healed up quickly when I gave her Tee Tree Oil to put on it. Also Herbal Ed's Salve will promote rapid healing but is not antibiotic, so would need to be used with the Tee Tree or other antiseptic treatment. Herb Pharm is the mfg. Guest guest
Manuka Honey also is a great healer as well as some of the Aloe Vera family of juices and creams. With age, a lot has to with circulation and there is not a lot that can be done for that. DMSO will increase circulation as a whole but doesn't specifically increase it in the skin as far as I can tell. I get wounds on my legs to heal up (close and skin over) quickly but for the actually rebuilding of the skin layers under the surface skin, it can take a year or two to really heal all the way so you can't really see it. My upper body heals a lot faster. > > > I've been searching the archives and also thought I'd ask here. My > father is on topical and > internal antibiotics for toe ulcers and infected shin wounds. Guest guest
Hi, -Marie: All the suggestions given to date are truly beneficial and from my experience, may well work. To add to the fine recommendations given by others, in my own experience with horrible foot ulcers my father suffered with…..and I do mean horrible, the wounds were about one half inch deep and well over one inch across….what worked finally was 3% hydrogen peroxide, applied numerous times during his waking hours. The benefit was remarkable and in time, closed the wounds which healed. We never had the problem again, because at first sign of a similar problem, we turned immediately to the hydrogen peroxide. Prior to being blessed to find this solution, my father had been hospitalized for the problem, with no success in healing the ulcers. Guest guest
...i've read numerous reports of diabetic non-healing, even gangrenous, bedsores as well as Brown Recluse spider bites, & MRSA infections all healing rapidly & even without scarring from the use of colloidal silver combined with low voltage electricity (6v or less). the CS is used both internally and topically, and the elec applied across the infection edge to edge (moving it around every few minutes). stainless steel wrapped with cotton cloth which is wetted with CS is connected to each terminal of a battery (like a 6v lantern battery - the 3x3x4 " ones with the spring terminals on top. spray or dab on CS. between sessions cover with gauze or something wetted with CS, or maybe you can find some bandages impregnated with silver at the drugstore. use EIS/CS, which is mostly ionic, rather that expensive health food store brands which are expensive and may be all particles without ions. particles will kill microbes, but the ions are needed to work together with the electricity to stimulate regeneration. electricity alone will also kill microbes. for more about silver+elec and regeneration search for dr. robert o. becker (not bob beck or robert c. beck). as a bone surgeon, he was a pioneer researcher into the processes of regeneration. here's a good summary: http://www.silvermedicine.org/robertobecker.html > Slow healing wound > > > I've been searching the archives and also thought I'd ask here. > My father is on topical and > internal antibiotics for toe ulcers and infected shin wounds. Guest guest
Wow interesting! A fellow in another list told me that electricity also keeps mosquito bites from itching and heals a lot of other things. He used a Zapper, I think the Hulda one, and I don't know about the colloidial silver. > > ..i've read numerous reports of diabetic non-healing, even gangrenous, > bedsores as well as Brown Recluse spider bites, & MRSA infections all > healing rapidly & even without scarring from the use of colloidal silver > combined with low voltage electricity (6v or less). the CS is used both > internally and topically, and the elec applied across the infection edge to > edge (moving it around every few minutes). > > stainless steel wrapped with cotton cloth which is wetted with CS is > connected to each terminal of a battery (like a 6v lantern battery - the > 3x3x4 " ones with the spring terminals on top. spray or dab on CS. between > sessions cover with gauze or something wetted with CS, or maybe you can find > some bandages impregnated with silver at the drugstore. > > use EIS/CS, which is mostly ionic, rather that expensive health food store > brands which are expensive and may be all particles without ions. particles > will kill microbes, but the ions are needed to work together with the > electricity to stimulate regeneration. electricity alone will also kill > microbes. for more about silver+elec and regeneration search for dr. robert > o. becker (not bob beck or robert c. beck). as a bone surgeon, he was a > pioneer researcher into the processes of regeneration. here's a good > summary: > http://www.silvermedicine.org/robertobecker.html > > > Slow healing wound > > > > > > I've been searching the archives and also thought I'd ask here. > > My father is on topical and > > internal antibiotics for toe ulcers and infected shin wounds.
