Guest guest
I wanted to say thank you to all the people who've educated me about the wheat allergies, my prior personal story in regards to a friend who is a chef and has been stuffy all of his life, with dark circles under his eyes and hacks all the time has eliminated wheat products out of his diet and can breathe through his nose now and hasn't had any of his hacking episodes in a long time. We've been working on this for 2 years, eliminating things like aspartame, sugar, etc. Just to see if it really worked he has tried several times to eat a muffin or such and immediately he starts hacking and is stuffy the following morning. He wanted to thank all of you...............He's been dealing with this for 42 years...........wow! thats impressive, thank you all! Guest guest
that's great news, Jeanie! Thanks for the update! It's amazing the effect that foods can have on our bodies. Your friend might want to consider testing via Enterolab to determine if he's reacting to gluten. It might be that elimination of all gluten would provide even greater benefit. Guest guest
I should have added that, probably obviously, one does not have to use Enterolab. Mainstream physicians can do serum antibody testing, and, biopsy if they feel it is warranted. I've read that even some mainstream docs will order Enterolab testing instead of blood serum testing (but this is rare, I think). I've read so many stories of people whose blood serum antibody levels were " negative " and their stool antibody levels (via Enterolab's test) were positive, that I question the utility of the blood serum testing. After all, the IgA antibodies that are being assessed are being made and secreted into the GI tract (and hence, likely to be found in the feces), very little is probably circulating in the blood serum. > > > > I wanted to say thank you to all the people who've educated me about > the wheat allergies, my prior personal story in regards to a friend > who is a chef and has been stuffy all of his life, with dark circles > under his eyes and hacks all the time has eliminated wheat products > out of his diet and can breathe through his nose now and hasn't had > any of his hacking episodes in a long time. Guest guest
I work with him everyday and it's so ironic that, him, being a chef, was the things he makes on daily basis and ingests, was the culprit the whole time! How weird is that? He is beyond grateful! littlelief wrote: I should have added that, probably obviously, one does not have to useEnterolab.
