First, we all have our ups and downs, and no matter how minor it sounds in

comparison to someone else, it's how it feels to you that matters! We all

know that, and that's the great thing about having a group like this to

" whine " to. We all really care, even if you are just down and not hurting

for a day. I can definitely relate to the stopping and starting of the mtx

because of illness. I had 3 cases of broncitis while I was on it, and every

time I had to stop it for a few weeks. It was a royal pain! I have had

good results with the prednisone during flares, but my sister (Janet - a

group member as well) has not. Everyone reacts differently to every one of

these drugs. That's part of the puzzle that drives us all insane! Not to

mention our doctors, family, freinds.......you know. " such and such worked

for my uncle, I don't understand why it doesn't help you? His was only in

his big toe though. " Well, they just don't get it at all when they make

those coments. He probably had OA to start with, and that just doesn't

compare!

We're all here for you, and will offer whatever help we can. The group is a

wealth of knowledge, and varied experiences, so ask away!
