Guest guest
When I had a bad herpes outbreak on my mouth during a severe flu it made the nerve to my eye throb and I feared an outbreak near my eye. I took 5 250mg caps of European (not domestic) Olive Leaf an hour for a few hours then every two to three for the next three days then four times a day for a week. I was over coming two infection that were viral and was delirious from the flu when I started. I also use Lomatium and St 's Wort Tincture from Herb Pharm, they make it as a combination. Both are anti-viral and I have used them both topically on fever blisters with good results. Olive leaf tea is a nice way to take it if you can find bulk Olive Leaf. I have ordered it before from www.fludan.com, ask for Daneeka, who generally answers the phone. It was not on the web site but was good quality European source. You want a 17% Oleuropien content if you buy capsules they should be labeled. There is one company here in the US that is not selling a good product. I will no longer buy Bluebonnet brand and when I requested a batch assay they simply told me to return the product. Garnet Taffy wrote: > > > Jane, I did not elaborate. Guest guest
hi pls check MMS miracle mineral supplement colloidal silver and MSP mild silver protein all kown to kill virus RE: DMSO & Shingles Hi, Brent: Re shingles, suggestion only, as originally heard one a BBC broadcast. I have tried it successfully, as have others I know. Buy the cheapest instant coffee available, make a thick paste, and apply to the affected area. Stay in bed for several days if you can. This may work better with DMSO added, that I do not know. What I do know is that I used prescription medication and many other alternative methods to combat shingles several years ago. They served to hold it at bay, but when I used the coffee method after a breakout, I have not had a problem since. Guest guest
Thanks Taffy as an elderly pharmacist my friend is under the doc and ophthalmologist already and when I mentioned the coffee pack this morning looked at me with a strange expression and said - "I'm doing quite well thanks" so i went on my merry way But it is always useful to have these little tips up one's sleeve! Guest guest
Shingles is an extremely serious condition in which inappropriate treatment may result in lifelong suffering from nerve damage. I have had shingles, and well remember the excruciating pain and the ugly skin eruptions. Some people get shingles repeatedly, and may well suffer for the rest of their lives due to nerve damage. I personally know people who have had repeated shingles attacks because their initial treatment was insufficient. I urge anyone who has shingles to do a careful, but quick literature search, and then to decide on what treatment approach to choose. Valtrex, an anti-viral pharmaceutical, is often prescribed. I prefer not to use pharmaceuticals except when absolutely necessary, and looked up shingles in one of the most comprehensive integrative medicine books available (by integrative I mean an approach that looks for the best treatments from both alternative and mainstream medicine); an extensive book now in its fourth edition by the Life Extension Foundation, www.lef.org. Although I have purchased the book you can use the book online for free. The Life Extension Foundation, with which I have no financial connection, is an organization from which we have purchased high quality supplements for years. Their treatment book is excellent, discussing the best of mainstream and alternative treatment approaches to, for example, cancer, as well as shingles. One of their recommendations for treating shingles is Tagamet. I didn't like the choices available, but chose Tagamet as the least intrusive. I found relief quickly, to my astonishment, and have not suffered since. The itching and burning stopped quickly and within a week I was nearly completely well. Whatever you do, don't take chances on going blind. If coffee has been proven to be an effective remedy, great. If not, don't risk your eyes by lettting the viruses multiply until it's too late, and you've suffered permanent nerve damage, permanent ongoing pain, and perhaps blindness. Good luck to you. Guest guest
An additional note is to slather on collodial silver, tea tree oil, and other natural antiviral substances. While these alone will not be strong enough nor penetrate deeply enough to stop the shingles process, they, in conjunction with Tagamet or Valtrex or some other powerful anti-viral substance, will help. But, again, I emphasize, this is a very serious condition from which I have suffered, and know from research and from the experience of others that experimenting with ineffective treatments will allow the virus to really establish itself, and then the person is in, quite probably, for a lifetime of suffering. Guest guest
This would be where the DMSO would make a difference, penetration. That is what DMSO does, it even penetrates bone within 20 minutes. There may be more testimonials on www.silverlist.org -- they lost their archives a couple years ago but some of the old timers on the list may have backed them up in their private files. It's worth asking about. I do recall a number of people reporting excellent results using DMSO and CS compresses as their treatment. There are many choices. This is a wicked pain like you’ve been plugged into a wall socket. However, it started off as a very deep pain at the base of the shaft and remained more of a deep pain than the typical just under the surface pain. It was with me all day until I applied 6 drops of MMS/DMSO transdermally. Almost instantly the pain went away. http://curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=1233680 DMSO & Shingles Anyone know if and how it can help? Guest guest
javel water is " An aqueous solution of potassium or sodium hypochlorite, used as a disinfectant and bleaching agent " while MMS is sodium chlorite, which is also used in industry as a bleach (in making paper) and may be used in water purification. the smell is chlorine. from MMS it's chlorine dioxide ... from javel it's probably chlorine gas Cl2 which is lethal if too much but is most widely used for water purification by water departments. if i had shingles i'd probably use MMS transdermally wherever there's an outbreak, and orally at high power (15drops 3X/day) for a couple weeks after all symptoms subside. yes, MMS is repulsive stuff to have to swallow at all, and quite miserable puking/diarrhea/cramps if dosage isn't increased gradually enough to know when one's current tolerance limit is reached. Anyone who knows me knows of my enthusiastic support of natural and alternative remedies, but in the case of shingles erupting anywhere near the eyes or ears, the only sensible course in my view is to seek conventional medical advice as soon as possible. I used the coffee remedy to finally stop the itching, but also had sought out medical remedies (which in my case stopped the progression but did not solve the whole problem….the coffee did. However, my eyes and ears were my first priority, hence my resorting to a pharmaceutical to at least halt the problem). Guest guest
Many years ago I knew an older woman who had immigrated here from Italy. As she held a bottle of Clorox in her hand, she referred to it as " javella water " ---her pronounciation from the original Italian.
