Hi All,

Well, I met our Deb tonight! It was so great to see her. She looked

excellent considering how sick she still is and all she’s been through.

She said she feels she might have “turned a corner” yesterday. I sure hope

so! I also met Ron and her daughters, and they are all such nice people.

You can just feel how much they love her. It’s great that she has such

support. Ron brought a couple of pizzas and we had a birthday party. It

was awesome. I’m at the hotel for the night, and I’m going to go and visit

her again in the morning before I head home.

I hope everyone has a pain free night!

Lots of love,

Carol

Carol,

This is really great. I¹m sure your visit really cheered her up. What a

wonderful birthday present you were to Debs. I hope it¹s true that Debs

really turned the corner and soon she will be back with us. Debs if you are

reading, you are very much missed.

Hi a,

The odd thing was that I had NO idea it was her birthday until the morning I

was leaving (because of Judi’s email – Thanks Judi!) I was going to go

earlier in the week, so I could have Saturday with Stan, but I just kept

thinking “No, I want to go on Friday.” I really feel the Lord led me to go

on that day. :-) I was there with Deb and her family again today for about

4 hours and had such a nice time. Of course Deb’s great, and she has such a

wonderful family. Ron’s a really nice man, and you can tell how much he

loves her, and the same with the girls.

We were talking about how we still want to plan our group trip to Chicago

once Deb’s feeling better. It was this weekend we had originally talked

about going up there, which is another coincidence that never occurred to me

until now. There are so many people in the group that it would be so nice

to meet. It was great after talking to Deb for so long to be able to give

her a hug in person.

How are you doing, a? How is the eating plan coming along? I want to

get away from processed foods and eat a more alkaline diet. I know I could

be doing better if I’d pay more attention to my diet. Now that fall is

here, I think I’m going to start making soups. I actually make great soups

in the crockpot, and it’s a tasty way to get lots of veggies and fill up on

fewer calories.

Have a great Sunday!

Lots of love,

Carol

Coincidences? I don¹t think so. I too believe the good Lord led you on

your path to Debs on her birthday, the same weekend the get together was

planned. Debs needed you to visit and cheer her up. I wonder how much your

visit helped her to turn that corner. I hope we can plan a get together

too, but if it¹s in Chicago I hope it¹s planned at a warmer time of year!

It really is wonderful to meet someone you¹ve talked to for so long. Real

hugs are special, but cyber hugs will hold us until we can meet.

I¹m doing absolutely lousy, thanks for asking LOL! How¹s that for honesty?

I¹m still suffering the consequences of getting rear ended the day of my

husband¹s surgery. It¹s now been 4 weeks, and some things are getting

better, and some worse. I¹m still having chronic headaches, something I¹ve

never had to deal with before. It gives me a new understanding of everyone

that suffers from constant headaches. Sometimes the guillotine sounds

inviting.

I¹m so drugged out on muscle relaxers, which have helped the pain but leave

me feeling like a pile of mush and tired all the time. My doctor said it

takes at least 6 weeks for this to heal, so hopefully I¹m on my way. I also

have TMJ, which is dictating my diet at the moment. I¹m living on soups, so

at least I¹m getting nutritious food. I haven¹t stepped on the scale since

putting on 3 lbs, but tomorrow I will. I¹m sure I¹ve not changed since I

can¹t exercise.

So there is my tale of woe is me. I feel bad that I¹ve been so behind on

email, but I¹m trying.

Hope you get on a good eating plan. It really has made a big difference to

me.

Hugs,

Oh a, I’m so sorry you’re having such a hard time! Stan suffers from

terrible migraines, and I’ve seen just how bad a headache can get. And the

TMJ can cause all sorts of problems. I will have you in my prayers, my

friend, and hopefully you will be on the mend soon.

Sending love and lots of ((((((((((((((big, gentle hugs)))))))))))

Thanks Carol. I¹m not getting migraines, so I guess I should be thankful.

I hope you feel better for your speech today.

a: Sorry to hear you are having such a time with headaches. Hope it

improves soon. TMJ is really hard to deal with, never had it but worked for

neurosurgeons and knew a lot of patients who suffered with it. Thank God you

weren't seriously injured when you were rearended (must have missed that

post).

Anyway, hope you have a pain free day and thanks for all you do for all us.

Thanks Jan. The headaches are rough. I feel so bad for people that suffer

from chronic migraines. I don¹t know how they deal with it. This too shall

pass.
