Guest guest
Hi All, Just got back home a few hours ago. It was a long, stressful, tiring trip. & TJ came along, and did some of the driving, which helped, but I didn't want her to get too tired either. She is on meds. to stop contractions and so far so good. The trip up to Chicago Friday was in a real downpour, and took an extra 1 1/2 hours due to the heavy rain, and getting into Chicago during the rush hour. We drove to a Rainforest Cafe for dinner after checking into the motel, where TJ was enchanted by the animals (who needs to eat?) We were going to swim and I was looking forward to the hot tub, but there was a convention of high school kids, and all of them in the pools. Oh well. Played cars on the bed with TJ and went to bed early. Saturday was hard, seeing Aunt Rose, and we decided not to bring her furniture home with us as she may not be going into the nursing home right away--she is #5 on the list. As she says, " hey, we just don't die like we used to. " It wasn't a worthless trip as we brought home some birth, death, and marriage papers that are an important part of Ron's family history. Better stop typing now--my hands seem to have borne the worst of the trip and I can't even stand my watch on now, let alone my wedding band. Lord, I hate taking that off. Ankles and knees are pretty sore too. I just treated Ron to a bubble bath in my tub, and now he is running one for me, so guess I will go and soak awhile. If you don't hear from me, I turned into a prune. I hope everyone is well, and sorry this was so long. God bless, Judi
