Guest guest
This is a personal choice and for me, it's not worth the risk. My health is compromised and I would rather be safe than sorry. This is just my 2 cents P.J. > > This study in not accurate...Raw Milk has many, many benefits...The Raw Dairy group has been discussing this very study and how raw milk does help many people...Please do not believe this study... > > >
Guest guest
Well it IS a matter of choice of course!!! Problem is that “vested interests” do skew the research as we all know only too well LOL! I’m speaking of the dairy industry now…but, and it’s a big but, I would not drink unpasteurized milk unless I had personally inspected the farm it came from, read certifications of safety etc. It would have to be an udderly (sorry, couldn’t resist) sterile operation, don’t know too much about it really. It seems to me that there are a zillion different healing diets out there, many of them mutually exclusive! You know, raw foods/juicing, the Sally Fallon stuff which is so different, the blood type diet, dairy, no dairy, pasteurized vs .un etc., and on and on and on. We each have to find out what works best for us individually. Aylwin xox
Guest guest
Think about it.....humans have had dairy for thousands of years, goats, cows, camels ect. Storage is a modern problem which is why we now have pasturization so it can be kept in a refrigerator instead of being drank the same day it was milked. If non pasturized milk was that bad we all would have died off thousands of years ago. Who has room for a cow or goat anymore.......
Guest guest
Yes, but those thousands of years of humans you speak of came BEFORE immunizations, antibiotics, and disinfectants weakened our immune systems, and weak babies simply died in “the old days”. Anyway, there are no records of death rates due to milk contamination through history - ‘tis a huge assumption you are making! So, it is not a fair comparison to today’s humans, nor to the present, much more virulent strains of many common microorganisms, due also to the above factors, as well as massive environmental disruption of ecosystems. I do hear you about the storage issue though! Note that I am not expressing any opinion about pasteurized vs. non, or dairy-free diets; as I’ve said, there are many diet theories out there, and we each have to find what works best for us. Guest guest
Just proves Darwin is right. Since I started eating more raw foods I am doing much better.
Guest guest
And yet, many of us with ME literally do not have the intestinal fortitude to properly digest and assimilate many raw foods. For me, the veg especially are like poison to my system, and I do not digest them at all. The proper type of cooking does make some nutritional components more bioavailable, not less. I think even cave-people had cooking-pots and fire! Aylwin xox
