Guest guest
Nasal allergy in children Results from a multi-center, multiple-dose, randomized, double-blind study of 200 children (greater than or equal to 2 to < 6 years if age) with allergic rhinitis demonstrated that treatment with NasalCrom after one week is more efficacious than placebo in alleviating allergic rhinitis symptoms. Approximately 40 percent more of the subjects reported no or mild symptoms compared to baseline. NasalCrom was well tolerated with a side effect profile comparable to placebo. " This is excellent news for parents of very young children, " said Ratner, MD, Pediatric Allergist and Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San . " The unique mechanism and excellent safety profile of NasalCrom make it an ideal treatment option for young children, and unlike many of the other OTC allergy treatments, NasalCrom does not produce unwanted side effects, such as drowsiness or jitteriness.
