Guest guest
I love Pedia lax We are using the chewable tablets right now. They taste fab, I take everything they take. We are pretty new. both my kids love them. I also use the liquid glycerin suppositories for my 12 months old. He has had a history of a bm just hanging out at the end of the line and so I have found this sooo much better than the glycerin bullets. If my daughter 3 1/2 doesnt go within 3 days I use the disolvable senna. I wouldnt recommend depending on them. I use them when whatever else I have tried didnt work. I have really learned my lesson with both these little ones not to wait too long to get a bm. It can really stretch out the colon and then youve got really big issues. Ava has a very sensitive tummy and she has never had any issues whatsover with these. Guest guest
Hi I have been reading this group for 6 months, I have tried the pedi-lax glycerin supositories and saline lax. My 4 year old had been on myralax for a year and everytime we travled it would quite working, I would use a suposotories when we got home I did this twice and it got her back on track, then this last time I used the saline lax. with a tall glass of water it was much less drama and boy o boy did it work we are also doing the pro biotics. It has been over a week and so far no need for the miralax just probiotocs. I was sceptical of the Pedia- Lax but as a short term sol to get us over an impass it really did the job. Guest guest
So I guess you found your answer, they are deficient in good bacteria, not miralax. This is what I'm saying about the whole constipation issue, they aren't Miralax deficient therefore you'll be subjecting your child to this nasty chemical till the cows come home and never fix a thing. You have to find out what the underlying problem is and 9 times out of 10 they are lacking the good bacteria that keeps the gut in balance................thank you for sharing Subject: RE: Pedia-LaxTo: miralax Date: Tuesday, September 30, 2008, 9:10 PM Hi I have been reading this group for 6 months, I have tried the pedi-lax glycerin supositories and saline lax. Guest guest
I am using Kirkman pro-bio chewable wafers for children- they have a website you can order from, it did seem to take about two weeks for it to really work. We also use Kefir probiotic milk- it is really more of a yogurt shake but my daughter likes the flavors, I got that idea from my mother in law who has her own constipation issues and apperantly has her whole life- possible genetics at work here with missing bacteria.
