Guest guest
Hello, Ive had RA for 30years on and off, and obviously tried many drugs. At the moment I have been prescribed Methotrexate, and have been trying it since July. However I experienced some nausea and quite bad headaches for a couple of days after taking it. My specialist suggested trying it by injections and this I am doing at the moment. The dose has been reduced to only 5mg to see if it makes a difference, but I would be interested to know if anyone else has had the same problem. I also take Diclofenac and Folic Acid. I read that Methotrexate on the whole is a good treatment for RA and wonder if the side efffects are related to Mtx or maybe some other cause unrelated. Any help would be much appreciated. Joan.
