Guest guest
PERMISSION TO FORWARD, REPOST & USE IN NEWSLETTERS ------------------------------ In just about every British national newspaper and national news broadcast, yesterday (14 November 2008) and today (15 November 2008), pictures and comment about the success of Georgina Downs long and hard fought pesticides campaign in the High Court. Responding to Barbara 's call for a big letter writing campaign, I have made a start with two to different newspapers in which the story appeared. May I echo Barbara's plea and make a couple of suggestions that could help us all: First, just a short letter will do. If that's all you can manage, fine. Instead of sending exactly the same to all Editors, why not vary what you have to say, to reply to a particular article? It takes a bit longer but you have a better chance of getting in. If you have some time this weekend, yours could be in print by Monday. My two are here http://www.mefreeforall.org/November-2008.1327.0.html#c6186 and here http://www.mefreeforall.org/November-2008.1327.0.html#c6187 which you can read, when logged in and from there, click to the original articles. If you write one (or more), we'll put them on our website, whether they get chosen or not, if you will allow us. The e-mail addresses for these ones are dtletters@... expressletters@... The story also appeared in other papers. You can get these here http://www.mefreeforall.org/M-E-in-the-News.107.0.html (and scroll down to each one). If you need help with the e-mail addresses, or if you ever need any help with composing or writing letters, write to us and we'll do our best for you. In the meantime, just laugh your head off at our Fun Stuff here http://www.mefreeforall.org/Fun-Stuff.529.0.html#c2637 Cheers drjohngreensmith@...
