Guest guest
Hi , I've had the same problem in the past with the dizziness that you have described. In fact I have been having some minor problems with it this past week. I can't remember what my doctors called it, but I was told it had something to do with the inner ear which caused an imbalance. I had it very severe twice before in which I went by ambulance to the hospital to be treated. The medication they used helped. Resting was the only way I felt good. Any type of movement agravated the problem so what you are describing makes sense to me. Call your doctor and talk to him about it. Hope this helps. in MN
Guest guest
and , What you described could be Meneire's Syndrome. It affects the middle ear and that is where balance is controlled. I was diagnosed with that problem a long time ago and it is " episodic " . The doctor prescribed Meclazine (antihistamine) for me and it worked wonders, but also makes you quite sleepy. Hope that helps, Dianne ----- Original Message ----- From: " " <linda@...> > Hi , > I've had the same problem in the past with the dizziness that you have described. Guest guest
<PRE>that was always my big complaint was the dizzyness. my dr gave me buspar for it. it is kinda under control as long as i am home with my daily routines. seems if i travel it is a different story. i had my sinuses checked. my ears, was checked by 2 neurologists before buspar. also a pt told me the way my spine was curved it was pressing on the nerves. causing my dizziness. but definatly have that checked. i can also take meclazine for it, but it will put me to sleep!!! kathy in il

Hi Kathy, That's interesting that you should mention that. The weird head and dizzy thing started last Sunday. The week before that was following my hearing before the SSA judge. I had noticed that my spine was aching between my shoulder blades but I chalked it up to stress. In fact I still feel it a little bit now. I haven't felt that pain in a very long time. The reason I mention it is because over the past 25 years, I have also had it during some strong and unusual times of mental or physical problems in life. I used to see a chiropractor back then and sometimes it seemed to help, and sometimes it didn't. I haven't been to one in probably something like 15 years or more. Maybe it's time to go back! Thanks.
