Hi all,

Read all the emails in my daily digest and am just too busy and overwhelmed

by life right now to respond to individual posts, but you all are in my

thoughts and prayers. Got a question for those of you who take Celebrex. How

much do you take a day? My doc says I should just take 1 20 mg tablet a day,

but sometimes I sneak a second dose at night if I'm in major pain!

Anyway, take care. Gentle hugs to you all.

Hi Elly,

I take celebrex and am very thankful to have it. I take 200 mg two times a day,

recently increased. It does make sleeping and moving possible. It does not take

away the pain in my toes or the tenderness in my joints. It does help my jaw

pain.

Hi Elly: I have been on Celebrex for about 3 years. Initial doc (long time)

directed 100 2 x day for a few months. But soon went to 200 2x day. When $$

has been bad I've had to only take 1 200 a day or sometime skip a day or two.

Celebrex has been a wonder med for me. I credit it w/keeping me out of a

wheel chair (I refuse hospital for knee and/or back). Over a year ago, a

new doc to me said " info " on celebrex didn't direct the large amounts I was

taking and referred me to a different ortho doc who said absolutely keep

taking 1 200 2xday...he has gone so far as to provide me " samples " a month at

a time for 15 months and continues. Until 3 years ago, I was an advocate of

" toughing it out " without pain meds...now I am thankful to have meds that

help me " manage " my life within it's limitations. Cheerfully, Kathy
