Guest guest
My Dearest Tess, What beautiful pictures! It is so nice to put a face to the name. There is no need to feel embarrassed about the way you look. We are all in the same boat. Beautiful people on the inside. It's just that our bodies aren't cooperating on the outside sometimes. I am so happy that you posted the pictures. Maybe someday, I'll have the courage to do it too. I don't even know if I have any pictures of myself here. Love you Stacey in PA

Guest guest
Dearest Tess, thanks so much for your loving thoughts. I am continuing to improve. This afternoon, the pain was so mild I barely thought of it. I'm still on the BRAT diet until I see my Dr. tomorrow, but felt good and cheated and had an individual sized rice pudding. It tasted so good! How are you doing? I hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Guest guest
Hi, Tess, Has your doctor ever tried you on Trazodone? When sleeping gets difficult for me, I use 50 - 150 mg Trazodone for sleep. The drug was originally developed as an antidepressant, but a lot of people do not get enough relief from their depression with it. Many doctors use this instead of sleeping medications. It does not have the reputation for weight gain that Elavil has. The other name for this medication is Desyrel. When dispensed as Desyrel 150 mg, the pills are able to be broken into pieces so that you can either have 50 mg or 75 mg in divided doses of the 150 mg tablet. Trazodone also allows Stage 4 sleep to occur, which is what many of us do not get because of pain and other discomforts. When I take 50 mg, I can go to sleep and have no problems waking up -- no " hangover " either. When I take 75 mg, I sleep deeper and longer and can leave me with " hangover " enough to need two cups of coffee to get moving in the morning. I have only used the 150 mg dose on one occasion. I was out of pain pills and figured if I went to sleep then I would not feel the pain. I slept for 10 hours, but woke up feeling great. Something to think about, maybe? You need to get decent sleep, but if the doctor wants you to eliminate Elavil, perhaps he will offer Trazodone in its place.
