It's been a while, and there's been alot going on.

I returned to work on Oct 28th at the school. Things went ok for a couple

of weeks, and then I started to hurt more, and I started flaring with the

RA. I saw the rheumy last Tues and he said I am under a lot of stress and

that is causing the flare. We also had to reduce my Arave because of

side-effects. I am still on the Enbrel. THe flare is not toooo bad, but my

hadns and feet are bothering me. I saw the surgeon on Thurs. He said that

the increased pain is due to the regeneration of the sciatic nerve. He put

me on Neuronton. Great stuff for the pain, but messes with my head most of

the day! I gave my notice at the school yesterday for 2 weeks. I just

can't keep up with the physical stress and I think it is better for the kids

to have them replace me. I will be working a few hours each day a the law

office I used to work at, so it's not all bad there.

Now, I need your help:

My daughter started complaining of pain in her elbow and wrist yesterday

morning. I took her to the dr thinking she must have injured herself. They

checked her over and found that the pain is only in the joints and that all

of the joints in her right hand were swollen, although she wasn't

complaining of them hurting. She is 11 years old, and I am now waiting for

labwork on Rheumatoid factor, sed rate, etc. (Sound familiar?) THey think

she has some sort of joint imflamatory problem. Not good news to me! I

questioned the fact that it is not bi-lateral as so many of our things are,

but that apparently is not an issue at this point. Does anyone have any

info on JRA? Does it act like the adult version, or are the diffrences?

(Besides the age of course). I am doing my homework before the labwork

comes in.

Well, my hands are screaming at me. I have had trouble keeping up with all

of you, but below are a couple of specific messages I spotted.
