Guest guest
I would agree with Stan. My son was on Diflucan for a week before starting Valtrex and for a full month into Valtrex. We then switched to Yeast Aid and over about a 5 day period things fell apart. Our DAN is now calling in another Diflucan script and in the meantime, I am stopping the Valtrex. Some families at your child's age are up to 500mg... but I'm not sure if everyone needs large amounts. I would start where you are (with an antifungal onboard) and then see what happens before you consider bumping it up.Keep us posted.- Stan>> Stan,> > Should you be giving the Diflucan,or other anti fungals the whole time > you are giving the Valtrex.> My daughter took the Diflucan for the first 30 days and has been on > Valtrex alone for about 45 days.> I wanted to find out if you took the two together the whole time, I > wasn't clear about that.> > Also she is 12 years old should her dose be increased? She is taking > 250mg 3x a day. > I have been seeing some great improvement but was wondering if the age > and size differece from most of the kids if we should increase the > dose for her. > > Thanks,> >
