Guest guest
It's day #2 of the prednisone for me, and day #2 of learning to be more patient with this. I still hurt, but nowhere near what it was yesterday! The nurse is letting me be up and around today doing some small things, and we will go grocery shopping later for some good healthy food--fruits, veggies, chicken, fish. This was also Ron's 2nd day of physical/occupational therapy for his parkinson's, and he has learned a lot, one thing was " energy conservation " --how to save up your energy for something you want to do. Guess I will have to practice that too. I look forward to seeing the rheumy in 2 weeks-- guess that is a miracle that I was able to get an appt. this soon. I only hope she is as good as my doctor--he is an angel. He even called me last night at home to see how I was feeling. Tess: loved the poem and she will be emailing you soon. Are you taking care of yourself? Please email me a picture at the address I sent you, because I can see them there. Al: Glad to hear you are picking up the sticks and some weight too. I would love to learn to play the drums. I have some sticks, and our pastor showed me a little about how to hold them and some basic rhythms. I would like to get a practice pad to play on. Glad too that everyone is doing good at your house. /a: You are doing such a good job riding herd on us. I will be careful with the pred.--the dr. stressed that this is only a temporary treatment and said he will stay in contact with the rheumy about my treatment. They want to make sure there isn't something else going on, like another autoimmune disease, since my symptoms began so late in life, and have escalated so much in a short time. Heidi: Little mommy (or is it mum?) you eat well, take care of yourself, and are you going to start a preg journal? & I are going shopping Saturday and we're planning a box for the tadpole. Any names picked out yet? Iris: How's the knee doing? Everything else ok? Well group, time for me to go and rest up before grocery shopping. I'll check in as I'm allowed to, and know that I am thinking of you all. God bless, Judi
