Guest guest
Hi , How are you doing? Is it as cold there as it is here. Because we are freezing here and it is early for this. I should call to but you know I just want to put it behind me. In my heart I know the resident had more to do with this than the surgeon did. I hope is I never have to go down there again. The belching is terrible but I hope the GI specialist will have some answers. The medicine didn't help last night but maybe you have to build it up. I was able to go for a walk yesterday which for me is a big deal. I bet you are looking forward to Thanksgiving and coming home. Guest guest
Hi, Lynn! I am OK, thank you. A cold and rainy voting day. I am very much looking forward to 's Thanksgiving break. Seems like she's been away for a very, very long time. I know you want to put these surgeries behind you, but you should have the chance to ask to the questions you need to. I believe he was the lead surgeon. Don't worry about that. Ask him if you are wondering though. Did either the resident or your primary suggest trying to swallow less air to lessen the belching? No carbonated drinks, use straws, try to breathe through your nose not your mouth, don't chew gum or eat hard candy, for example. Even avoiding gas-producing foods might help. Here's a link that might give you some ideas: http://www.niddk.nih.gov/health/digest/pubs/gas/gas.htm I read in a few places that this can happen after gastrectomies. You've got even less room down there than you did before. What medicine are you taking for the belching? Re: [ ] Me Mom - to > Hi , > How are you doing? Is it as cold there as it is here. Guest guest
Hi , I am so sorry to be a lacks in answer your note. I have been in a lot of pain from the Ra plus I think I have TJM. I see the dentist on Tuesday. I really didn't need anything that made it hard to eat. The suggest about using a straw is great, I didn't think of that. I am taking reglan and gas-x. Not sure it is helping but it has only been a short time since the surgery. The U. of P. called me again about the near overdose. Seems they are very upset about it and will take action. I told them I am not really angry at the intern because he made a mistake, and we all make mistakes. Now the nurse on the other hand is something different. She knew the dosage was wrong and tried to make me take it. I told them I don't think I would ever go back there. She ask me to reconsider. She gave me her own phone number and name. Requesting that no matter what I have to go to the hospital for I call her first, so she knows I am there. Think they will try to kill me. I do think I grow stronger each day, I have managed to go for short walks. Which is a major plus for me. I love to walk plus I think it is beneficial to the RA. I have called to's office twice for the reports on the surgery, so far I don't have it. I like to have the description of the surgery in my hands just in case I have to go to someone else. I have the whipple and that is four pages long. Eating is hard good thing I like veggies. Hope you are well and each day bring closer to coming home. You will feel good as soon as you see her face. Again forgive me for taking so long. Any news on Debs, she has been through so much. Lynn (MeMom) wrote: > Hi, Lynn! I am OK, thank you.
