Hi everyone.

I have been wishing to be more a part of the group, but have been so

busy lately trying to get my life together to not be so busy anymore!

That should happen soon in a couple weeks.

In the meantime, I am trying to follow along. There is a a lot for me

to learn. I might be in denial and I need a support group to help me

become convinced of my diagnoses. (Lupus & RA)

My blood work: ANA positive - homogenous, C3, C-Reactive protein... I

don't know what the C stuff means, but I know I have not had a

positive RF since I was younger. I ignored my RA diagnoses back then.

Anyhow, my symptoms are pretty bad - mostly my legs are so very achy.

My thigh muscles get sharp vein pains, stabbing, prickling pain &

muscle cramps. both legs are weak. My hips & low back are involved

now too. Anyone else have this?

The Rhumy put me on Plaquenil & Medrol, but I haven't started taking

them yet. I'm scared of any drugs really. What do you guys take for

pain? I guess I'm waiting to decide until after I get a hysterectomy

in a few weeks (I have huge painful fibroids). I also feel obligated

to take these drugs or else my rhumy won't continue to treat me. That

leaves me no mind to make up on my own. I don't like that! I don't

have a choice of doctors since I'm on Medi-Cal (medicaid).

I still hope to be more part of the group. Thanks for having me.

Carol
