Just threw the Miralax in the garbage

Hi, I am new to this list and wanted to add more fuel to the fire. My son was born 3 years ago with an imperforate anus. He had two surgeries and 12 anal dilitations to fix the birth defect. His doc perscribed Miralax for him since he was 3 months old. He has therefore been on it for all of his developmental life - nearly three years. In the first few months of his life he was rolling over early and making "ooo" sounds when cooing. After the Miralax and doctoring began, his development started to lag seriously. He did not crawl until 9 months, and did not walk until 14 months (my two older children walked at 8 and 9 months - 7 & 8 months earlier!) He started speech and Occupational therapy at age two because his language was Apraxic and he could not even make an "oooh" sound as he was able to do at 2 months of age. I began to search of the cause of all this. His chomosomes and brain MRI were normal. Could it be the repeated anesthesia? I researched this, asked the docs and Anesthesiologist at Mayo Clinic and after observing him after a procedure requiring anesthesia, I could not blame the anesthesia. I was beginning to accept that this may be the result of an enexplainable burp in his development. Then I started thinking about the Miralax and whether it could cause problems like yeast can cause for some kids. I decided to take him off Miralax and do everything natural I could to keep him from being constipated. Something interesting happened...my son started improving- at a very fast speed. It has only been a week and he had major improvements to his speech, large and fine motor skills and he is not only coordinated, but he is STRONG. It was so interesting to see other parents have had similar experiences. Pam

Pam, I wanted to appologize for what I recently replied, I am very angry at what has happened here to all these childen, especially mine, so I decided to write a letter, I started on it yesterday so you can understand where I'm coming from, I'll post it later today.............It's absolutely disgusting that the Material Safety Data sheets on this chemical states "Not to ingest" or "dispose down our sewer systems" and it's combustable, but yet they've somehow had this approved for adults as bowel prep? Then went a step further and decided to give to children........................... I didn't mean to take it out on you, I feel like we have all be betrayed........................

Health care is sick care in our country. I think all these folks know what

they've been doing

to our kids since the early 90's. It's all very suspicious. If you want to

remain well, then why

inject or ingest that disease or that chemical?? I've learned so much and

if I only knew then

what I know now. It's hard. I have to rely on God to help me cope with

what has happened

to my daughter, even now after all these years..............she's 14.

She was devastated by the HEP. B plus vaccines, then at age 4 being put on

Miralax and on it

for 7 years made her regress even more and stop making progress. She has

only been off it now

for a little over a year and a half and she still struggles with

constipation/motility, but thank God I was

finally able to get her off that stuff. I think all the devastation she has

suffered all her life that she will

never be normal but I hope we can continue to help her function at her

best.............

Pam

His chomosomes and

brain MRI were normal. Pam
