Guest guest
Hi All, Wyatt and I went to the Ophthalmologist today. Wyatt has been getting migraines lately and I wanted to get his eyes checked. His eyes are fine. I, however, was diagnosed with Sjogrens. I had suspected it, I had all the symptoms. I had been worried about my lingering " sore throat, " but now it all fits into place. He gave me samples of 4 different kinds of eye drops and told me to let him know which ones helped the most. On the bright side, my vision is 20/15 which is very good. I don't need to wear my glasses anymore, but he said that if they helped with driving at night, to go ahead and use them. He thinks Wyatt is getting his migraines from his blood sugar dropping in the afternoon because he hasn't been eating very well lately. His eating habits have gone steadily downhill since his last visit with his father in August and I am really starting to get worried about him. I am afraid that he is heading for anorexia. His pediatrician gave me the number for a therapist and thought it may help. She also referred him to a neurologist for the headaches, just to cover all bases. I do think it has a lot to do with the eating though. This has been a hectic week. We saw the pediatrician on Tuesday, I went shopping for my turkey on Wednesday, and to the ophth. today. We were on the move most of the day and I am beat. And I have one of " those " headaches. I just took some Tylenol PM and if it doesn't help, then I will take a percocet. The change in weather has also aggravated Arthur over the past couple of days and I am a bit stiff and painful. And this dry cough is about to drive me nuts. Part of the pleasure of Sjogren's from what I am told. I think I will call it a night and try to have a nice relaxing day tomorrow. I did say " try.
