biopsy adventure - might be embarrassing!

Well, let's just say I have to come back & try it again in 2 weeks. The

doctor was great...she explained everything, never touched me without

telling me why. However, my cervix was being totally uncooperative and

my bowels were so full they were pushing the cervix where it shouldn't

be. She had me get in a position that belongs (NOT!) on Ripley's

Believe It or Not...I've always been flexible in certain ways! She

could not get the biopsy thingys (a true medical term! - NOT) to the

right place, so....she rescheduled for 2 weeks, said to do a 'good

enema' (an oxymoron!) the night before (oh joy!) and gave me a rx for

misoprostil to take half an hour before my appt. to help open up my

cervix.

She said my fibroids are huge, though so far are asymptomatic.

I was shaking terribly after holding my legs in a contortionist's

position, and my blood sugar dipped. I was clammy and weak. I had to

sit for awhile to get back to Earth!

What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, right? I guess I am doing

ok...I can chuckle about it all...sort of.
