Our son started Diflucan suspension (generic form) four days ago.

Since then he has barely had an appetite and he has had a runny nose.

Just curious if others have had the same response, and if so when does

the appetite return? He is 4 yrs old, 40 lbs, and is taking 1/2 tsp

at bedtime. I'm not as concerned about the runny nose since he is in

preschool now and the two seem to go hand in hand.

Also, the plan is to begin Valtrex after being on Diflucan for 10-14

days. Just curious, does giving the antifungal a headstart reduce the

healing regression I have read so much about? Thanks for any advice.

Blessings,

Tina (Luke's mommy)

My son's die-off looked viral when we began Diflucan as well. The 2-

3 week period of Diflucan prior to the Valtrex made sense to me in

hindsight. We did use a fair amount of charcoal to soak up the die-

off, that might help with the appetite at your end. It can make you

feel like you have the flu. HTH
