Guest guest
Call an activator.com chiro and a cst. You can find a cst at www.upledger.com call one with lots of pediatric experience, you can also google a cranial sacral person in your area. At a minimum I would do a free eval with a chiropractor that practices low force adjustments based on leg length. We had the same issues with doctors and tests I believe it was because of the nervous system and they did not understand it. Worst case situation this work is only going to help your child post surgery. Subject: More confused??To: miralax Date: Monday, November 3, 2008, 10:48 AM Well I just called our sons gastro for his test results! The results was incunclusive? ? Some absent nerves but some questionable ones! I asked the nurse what the heck questionable nerves mean and she doesnt know! They already are planning to do a surgical more whole intestinal testing!! UUUUgh!!! The thought of all the iv's, pick(iv that goes through his arm into a large nerve etc.) The worry of cleanout again, potassium/heart issues, etc etc. and NO SLEEP for a week(cant sleep in hospitals)! I just cant help but think these questionable nerve cells arent missing, but possibly damaged nerves from his vaccine allergic reaction or Jeannie as you mentioned, miralax doing this! This horrid gi issues did start as of the day of his allergic reaction and I did find info that allergic reactions can cause gi nerve damage, but getting them to admit that vaccines would do such a thing would be most likely not!! But I am way ahead of my self on all this and can be way off. I requested for doctor to call me and explain better! She said usually we schedule appointments for that but that since we live over 200miles away he may do phone consult!! I sure hope so, this is driving me batty!! Sorry my kids were very very very sick in the gi, they also had severe allergies they are healthy now. I have found that the docs just dont have many answers or cures, the gi is your second brain and it is highly controled by your nervous system, if the nerve messages cant get to where they need to go (mis alignment) they wont communicate correctly. It is such a simple thing to do, to be evaluated. We went to too many chiros before doing nucca and activator I think these method work because they are gentle and they dont shock the muscles and nerves(no cracking and very precise). I am not telling you to stop listening to your doctors, it is just that sometimes they dont know everything. No doc has all the answers, the thing is that if you dont get an answer do you stop or keep searching. I could not accept no answer and I finally found one that worked for my kids and I am grateful every single day and minute for it. My son was at the doc a couple of weeks ago and she said he was perfect, that was the best moment of my life, considering 8 months ago he had reflux, scoliosis, tort, plageo, motility disorders, severe allergies, thrush, excema on his face, constipation, severe hydroseal and a club foot and he was developmentally delayed, motor skills delayed and ear infections. His prognosis through the medical world was not good, and now he is healthy. Guest guest
Nattalie, how is this kind of technique different from what an ordinary chiropractor does? Do the same chiros do both nucca and activator? Bonnie Call an activator.com chiro and a cst. Guest guest
nucca focus's specifically on the first vertebre called the c1. They use xrays and leg length to get a precise adjustment that guarantees alignment and pressure off of the brain stem. This c1 or atlas holds the brain stem and if it is out it will cause misalignment in the rest of the spine. Activator also uses leg length. You see leg length descrepancy prooves the nerve pressure, when the adjustments are made the proof is in the leg length because it goes back to normal or even. Activator uses an instrument works on the whole spine and is also very gentle. I have had sucess with my sons atlas with our activator doc. Manual chiropractic sometimes uses this instrument, but the methodology and training behind it are different. Manual chiropractors use manual (cracking) or sometimes rubbing to fix mis alignments and they dont check leg length at every vertebre. Also the atlas is very difficult to get back in place with this method. The menual method uses more force and it has more muscle and nerve involvement in the adjustment, with my kids this was a bad thing. Does that make sense? Guest guest
yes, and this is very interesting because my kids always have subluxations at c1. Guest guest
Hi Nattalie! Yes I wont give up!! He has to go back for more tests. Some missing/absent nerves arent there in his intestines. When I researched hirschprungs(they suspect this as part of it) this makes some sense to me. Apparently this condition happens between the 5th and 12th week of fetal development in the womb. This happens to be the excact time my sons brain condition(agenesis of the corpus callosum) manifested during fetal developement! Yes the gi is the second brain(honestly i feel the 1st and second both are equal in needing to both function together). The brain and gi are nuero linked. In saying that my son was born with out the bundle of wires/fibers that connects the 2 sides of his brain and thus doesnt have the nerve/neuro connections to signal many of his organs etc like the norm(even his seizures are split-left or right sided of the body). They speculate this is a lot of his gi issues among many other medical issues. Incorrect signals to and from the brain. My son doesnt even have the normal body cooling/heating due to the lacking wiring, but seems to be improving on that! He well be going back for more testing and hopefully that well be more answers. I well consider the cst if we just cant get anywhere! My son has some spinal issues (minor that we know of...scoliosis, spinabifida that has closed, sacral dimpel etc) and maybe this isnt helping! Im so glad your children got positive updates!! Guest guest
That is the definative pattern that I have found with all of the sick kids I know. In the kids with multiple issues I allways find cranial sacral abnormalities as well. I really dont think it is co incidental. I am absoluted astounded by it, and also find it depressing because a ton of these kids will never get help because western medicine doesnt know this or acknowledge it. Guest guest
Hi. My post and good news may be premature to spread right now but Im excited and wanted to chime in here since you are talking about chiropractors. My daughter, who has been on laxatives for over a year now and is constipated but also "apprently" withholding, just went to see her chiropractor for a major adjustment today. The chiropractor found subluxations in her lower spine (apparently responsible for the gut, if Im not mistaken-- which is a possibility. Im still learning). She adjusted Ava and since her visit, my daughter has gone poo 3 times! I dont want to get too excited about it. It could be all the water I made her drink today. It could be all the fiber Im giving her and probiotics too. Or, maybe her first adjustment got her body in motion. Im interested in the different techniques that you are discussing here, Nattalie. Im not sure what technique my chiropractor uses and I will ask her next time, out of curiosity. Thanks for bringing some of this to light. If anyone lives in the Northern Virginia area I can give you my chiro's info. Guest guest
I am very excited for you. Just because my kids only responded to low force doesnt mean that knowone else will. Obviously these other chiros are doing good work or they would not be in business. Next time your in your chiros office ask them how Ava is progressing misalignment wise, ask about where all her misalignments are and the progress of them. If things stop working dont give up get an evaluation if you have to from another chiro. I kept giving up on chiro after 3 years of trying through normal chiro means until I found nucca and activator. I dont want anyone to make the same mistake I made, we lost precious time with her.
