A couple questions...

Hello All!

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. It is gorgeous (sunny and a

bit brisk) here in the Pacific Northwest. Went for a lovely walk

with baby, other baby (our sweet, big Rottweiler) and husband today--

it was wonderful. I didn't even freak out that it's getting more

difficult to set up the baby jogger and get the little one in and out

of the carseat (could there BE more straps and buckles on these

things?!) Anyway, I have my first real visit with my rheumatologist

(since the diagnosis) next week, and I want to be prepared. I'm

assuming she's going to recommend starting drugs, as the ibuprofin is

not " providing complete relief. " I've started to wean my little guy

somewhat, in anticipation of this--he's down to about 4 x a day--but

I am hoping for Plaquenil, so I can continue to nurse some, and wean

him over the next few months, instead of the next two weeks! I'm

wondering if anyone can tell me if there's any good, standard

questions I need to be addressing at this visit? Also, what's it

like being on an 'immunosuppressive?' Does this mean I'm going to

catch every cold that comes my way? And when on these various drugs,

does anyone do anything to support their bodies' processing of them,

ie Milk Thistle, other liver / kidney supports, acupuncture, etc...?

Sorry about the rambling...thanks for taking the time to read this,

and for any advice that may come...Wishing you all well, take good

care, Namaste,

Camille.
