Guest guest
Hi Char, I had pneumonia only once in my life, and I had no cold before, during or after it. I understand your question, as I was surprised it was confirmed pneumonia...without a cold to bring it on. Guest guest
Most definitely. Just the other day my neighbor was diagnosed with walking pneumonia, and she hasn't even had a runny nose. She only went to the doctor because her chest was hurting at night. I would go to the doc as soon as you can and have a chest xray. Guest guest
I just got over walking pnuemonia. The only things that mightve been a prelude to this were that my back was sore and I was exhausted...but then again, this was also move in week...so I attributed both the sore back and tiredness to unpacking and moving things around. Two weeks ago, I went to bed Sunday night feeling tired. Woke up Monday morning with a pain on one side of my chest and red zone peak flows. On Saturday night I had peak flows in the 500 range, which is about normal for me. My numbers monday morning were 300. I decided not to see if my morning meds would change things and got in to see a doctor on base and was diagnosed with walking pnuemonia. To be honest, Ive felt way worse off with bronchitis than I did with the pnuemonia...all the way around. I usually run fevers, cough so badly I end up straining the muscles in my chest and I have a really hard time getting over the bronchitis in general. I had none of that with this latest round. Just a pain in my chest and a really bad cough that morning that was semi productive. I also kicked this with way less meds than I do with bronchitis. Just ventolin every 6 hours and an antibiotic. I still have a mild cough, but its not oppressive...and my peak flows have been ranging from 520-550 for the last 3 days.Listen to 350+ music, sports, news radio stations including songs for the holidays FREE while you browse. Guest guest
That is the danger with walking pneumonia. You don't feel bad. So, you don't realize that you are really sick. There is a viral version of it going around here now. Really dangerous for asthmatics. Madeline > > I just got over walking pnuemonia.?
