Guest guest
Hi Susie, I’m not too sure how long is too long as far as joint swelling is concerned but when I was first diagnosed I had major swelling in my joints for about 4 months, especially toes, fingers and wrists. I couldn’t wear closed shoes and my rings were permanently on a chain around my neck as they wouldn’t even go on my pinkie finger. The swelling started to go down when the Pred kicked in but I often have swelling in my fingers and toes. Susie I was so sad for you and very angry (with Dr Stupid!) reading your story of how your MS was diagnosed. I can’t believe any doctor could be so insensitive and cruel. Thank goodness you’ve found good doctor’s now and have a diagnosis. I think it’s wonderful that you are starting a support group though – go girl! It’s a wonderful positive way to keep yourself informed and supported and also help others. I hope you are feeling a little better.
