Guest guest
Hi Judi, You sound like you are a very physically fit person. I used to do tap and jazz until the pain got too bad and now about the only exercise that I can take is water aerobics. The heater in my pool broke so I am not even doing that. There will be an indoor pool about a block from my house opening in about a year. I can't wait! I am doing pretty good right now. The MTX has cut a lot of the pain. I'm waiting to see what happens when I start work on the 2nd. Sitting is usually the worst part because I have SI joint problems. It also doesn't help that I don't have any cushion on my rear. Some of the stuff that your PT has suggested sounds a little wacky but you never know until you try it and as long as it won't hurt you I would be willing to try. Your PT is not the only one I have heard speak of massage of Lymph area. I had a dr that suggested the same thing saying that it would let everything flow better and release toxins. I do believe that because, whenever I have had a deep massage on the trigger point knots in my back, it feels as though toxins have been released and I am very, very tired. The masseuse always tells me to drink plenty of water to flush it all out of my system. Maybe Ron didn't mean that you aren't " really " sick but that your illness it isn't life threatening. From what you have told us about him, Ron seems to be a great guy that is very understanding. A paraffin bath sounds wonderful. I am planning on making myself some rice mitts for warming my hands. I hope that you do go to a new rheumy! For the right dr, I would travel almost anywhere. Before I began to take Elavil, I woke up all night long in pain and in the morning, I felt as though I had not gotten any sleep. The more that went on, the worse I felt. I am glad that you have gotten a little sleep this week. I have never heard about New Year's in Vienna. What channel is it on? We are going out to hear a band called Flickerstick on New Year's Eve. Several of the " grown " children are going with us. I hope that you and Ron have a good evening by the hearth. My New Year wish for you is to find a really good dr that can help you. Every year we have a traditional ceremony where we write on slips of paper what we hope for in the new year and we set them all in a brass bowl and burn them. I guess that it is a tradition with oriental roots? If anyone knows, I would like to hear from them. Have a good weekend!
