Guest guest
Hi there Lynda! I’m so sorry to hear about your diagnosis but welcome to the group! It is always confusing and scary when you are first diagnosed with RA and I found this group to be my lifeboat at that time. You have come to a great place for information, support and friendship – just jump right in and make yourself at home! Feel free to ask any questions that are on your mind, most of the time someone would have been through the same thing you’re going through. Our dear Debs would tell you if she was here that it’s a “Cheese and Whine party every day – with no limits on the Whine” so if you need support just whine away, we’ve all been down that road. Have you seen a Rheumatologist? If not I would strongly advise that you do go and see one, generally RA is treated aggressively now days, starting with what they call DMARDS (disease modifying drugs) like Plaquenil or Methotrexate for example. There are many treatment options and the best person to decide which is best for your case would be a Rheumatologist. I don’t think just Motrin is enough to prevent joint damage. I’m looking forward to getting to know you. Take care, Heidi _________________________________________________________________ Tired of spam?
