Guest guest
These are the RA-related things that I'm thankful for: 1. I'm thankful that, if I had to get RA, it didn't strike me until I was age 61, after I had already raised my kids and put in my 34 years of work time. At least now I'm retired and can lie in bed as late as I want to in the morning and don't have little kids to chase. 2. I'm thankful that medications are available now that will hopefully prevent me from getting deformed and crippled and enable me to preserve a high quality of life. 3. I'm thankful that I found a wonderful rheumatologist, who is caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, and accessible. He encourages me to call him and always gets back to me promptly after receiving my message. In fact, he is my favorite doctor of all time. 4. I'm thankful for this list and the support from all of the wonderful people on it. People who don't have one of these dastardly diseases just don't get it. It's so nice to be able to communicate with people who understand exactly how I feel. I'm especially thankful for and a, who keep us educated about our ailments. Sorry, I couldn't narrow it down to only three things. Sue
