Guest guest
I did the 24 hour saliva test. The function is depressed at noon and 5 p.m. so it says " Marginal HPA axis performance during the day may be associated with suboptimal hypothalmic pacing of adrenals. Adrenal support suggested. " In this situation, what do you suggest? Numbers are as follows: 7 a.m. 20 13-24 nM 12 3 5-10 nM 4 pm. 2 3-8 nM 11 pm. 2 1-4 nM DHEA is 4 and range is 3-10 ng/ml The hormone testing showed progesterone at 719 with a luteal range of 65-500 pg.ml. This looks out of range to me, but it didn't say it was elevated. I'll have to call on that one. Free testosterone was 22 out of 8-20, so it's elevated. Anyone know what that's about and what I should do? Thanks for any feedback on what to use, and how much of it. Thanks, -- Jamison Griebenow, skookie@... Guest guest
Hi Genny, Did Diagnos-Techs do the testing? If so, ask for a copy of the results. they always have a page that explains options available to you and suggestions for treatment. for your doctor. For example on my last test my Testosterone was still low at 4 (8-20) -good news it has came up from 2- and it had treatment options: 1) DHEA 2) Androstenedlone 3) Testosterone topical application... Also they list a plan of action as well if something backfires. Did the testing say which phrase of AF you are in? There should be suggestions for cortisol treatment as well. Also what are the results for fasting insulin, SIgA gliadin ab, and total SIgA? The reports says " Adrenal support suggested. " Your doctor should discuss this with you and hopefully give you HC or something to bring up the cortisol, especially at noon and late afternoon. HTH, Bj > > I did the 24 hour saliva test. That statement about adrenal support being sugested is it as far as advice of any kind. It does say a courtesy interpretation will be provided to the doctor but as w/the Canary club, that doctor is not my doctor, that doesn't do me a whole lot of good. I could ask my family doctor to talk to them, or I could contact my old naturopath, or the new one. I was just hoping to find a way to access the info and make some decision about supplementing with cortisol as discussed on the STTMadness website, withOUT having to pay a naturopath a fee again. However, if I'm not clear on what to do, and so far I am not, I may have to do that anyway. It says both my testosterone and progesterone are actually above normal range, and I have no idea what that means or what to do about it. > Also what are the results for fasting insulin, SIgA gliadin ab, and > total SIgA? That was not tested -- I did the standard 24 hour cortisol, DHEA, testosterone, progesterone, and estradiol. > The reports says " Adrenal support suggested.
