update on stopping my meds

Hi All,

You all offered such good advice and wishes when I told you my story

earlier that I thought I would let you in on an update. The last

time I seen my Rheumy he said that when I seen my OB/GYN on Dec 26

that he would be better able to tell me meds I could take that

wouldn't affect a fetus or make me have to postpone getting

pregnant. But, after like 2 weeks of being off of my Enbrel, Metho

and Celebrex I was flairing very badly so I decided to call my OB/GYN

and beg for a sooner appt. They gave it to me and I went to see him

on Dec. 2nd. He said that as far as meds go he wasn't really aware

of Arthritis meds so he couldn't tell me. He did some looking in the

pill book but the ones I was on he said wasn't safe (Wich I already

knew). So, he suggested Ibuprofin and when I told him I was allergic

to Aspirin he said I couldn't take that so he just suggested I call

my Rheumy and ask for me to increase my Prednisone. But, he did do

an ultrasound on me and he thinks he found a small polyp in my

uterus. He want's to wait one more monthly cycle and do it again and

see if that is what it is and not just a shadow on the ultrasound.

He said it's deff not cancerous but it should be removed by way of a

D & C before I try to get pregnant. He said I could get pregnant

with it by why have another risk factor when my JRA already gives me

so many. I got very upset and had a crying fit when my husband and I

got home because it just seems like nothing comes easily for me. I

wish getting pregnant didn't have to involve all these doctors appts

and could just be between my husband ane me........ Anways enough boo

hoo's. I called my Rheumy and he gave me a larger prescription for

Prednisone and told me to take 5mg, 7.5mg or 10mg per day as needed

but not to go above that withought calling him and he want's me to

keep a log of how much I am taking per day till I see him again. If

I do have a polyp it will only put me behind a few weeks from my

earlier appt of Dec 26th I did have. So, it looks like early January

and my husband and I will be able to try. I can't think of a beter

way to bring in the new year then the prospect of trying to have a
