Guest guest
I went to the Blue Crabs game with the altar server's tonight, had a blast, The one mom and I have been close friends for about 28 years now, The air was nice and dry a beautiful evening, I was ready for anything asthma related. I felt it starting so I nipped it in the but right then and there, still had the cough but was ok, drank my cold mountain dew, well then it got chilly dropped down into the mid to low 60's this game went on from 7-10:30pm. I had no idea I'd need a jacket. I was so ready for the fireworks so I thought, well they were beautiful as always, the smoke didn't come in my direction yet I kept the mask on the entire way to the car, GOT A LOT OF STARES like I was a freak, the smoke smell was soo strong I could taste it, I never coughed like everyone around me but I could smell it and taste it, the entire way home I am thinking, geesh oh flip, please do NOT let this happen all over again. So I'm trying to head it off by using the nebulizer. I feel like I can't go and do much these days due to having asthma. I did take all 3 inhalers with me used them when I first got there because of people smoking outside the gate, a worker was standing next to me when I started going down with that attack, He sat me down asked me what was wrong, looked at my medical alert, I got my inhalers out and use them, then told him it was due to the people smoking. He quickly got another employee to remove all the smokers to the parking lot, the manager came over and was upset that this had happened, I told him it's no one's fault, It's just part of the life of an asthmatic who's lungs are sensitive. He made an announcement for all smokers to move away from the front of the stadium, and take it out to the handicap parking area. I felt like everyone was watching me and it made me so uncomfortable. Within about 30 minutes I was ok enough to go find out seats, The manager showed us to out seats, and asked if we were hungry I asked for an ice cold mountain dew, he brought my youngest son and I back 2 baskets of fries and big ole chicken tenders and a big soda for my son, he gave me his cell phone # and told me to call him if I felt I needed to go to the ER and he would take care of everything. So I told my girlfriend when she arrived incase something happened. I did have to use the rescue inhaler again due to getting excited about a slammer of a homerun back to back! The priest saw me using the inhaler and came over to sit next to me asking if I wanted him to take me to the ER that I was white as a ghost and he was worried, I said NO that I was not ruining this for my son, I was ok for the time being but to not wonder off too far, so he put his cell phone # into my phone. That's the one part of this lung disease that I don't like is how it worries so many people and I feel like everyone is watching every breath I take. I need to email the Manager of the stadium to thank him for how wonderful he was to my son and I. He made sure my son had a foam claw and we both got brand new team shirts, I tried to pay him for them but he wouldn't hear of it! I don't want to go backwards with this asthma, it's been in the green zone for almost 10 days now. I just hope by being on top of this that it will stop it in it's track. Sorry this got so long! Terry I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much. ~Mother Teddy Bear's Early Learning Program Established August of 1992 _______________________________________ No viruses found in this outgoing message Scanned by iolo AntiVirus 1.5.4.5 http://www.iolo.com
