i joyously

baked a ham,

baked a pie,

made a salad,

made the stuffing,

drove the miles,

helped in the kitchen,

enjoyed my family,

loved the dinner,

got smoochies from grandbabies...

it was

wonderful...

then,

the piper

came to call...

wrists swollen,

neck stiff and painful,

back aching,

fingers & toes swollen and painful,

my muscles cramping,

migraine pounding,

my eyes burning,

my throat choking...

if

this is

the price

to be paid,

so be it...

and

mr. piper, here's your fee...

i would

absolutely

do it all

again.
