Guest guest
What a beautiful day! Not weatherwise, and the aches and pains seem to be a part of my life now, but I have been given the best gift! My sweet Ron is feeling MUCH better! He is singing, and doing his little soft-shoe dance again, and today suggested we start decorating the house for Christmas! (We never even start usually until about the 15th, and then with grumbling.) He hugs me about every 5 minutes, put on some Christmas CD's (including my favorite Jim Brickman) and is talking about baking his now-famous sugar cookies, a recipe handed down from his mom. I wouldn't even dream of telling him it hurts going up & down the stairs getting the decorations, and I put the ones outside (he is not allowed up on ladders) because I didn't want to spoil his fun. Actually, I'm so happy that I do hurt less, and maybe that's the answer--drown out the pain with joy! Ron's religious upbringing never taught him about Advent, and he is having discussions with our pastor about Advent, so it is showing me that he is enjoying life, and looking forward. It is a season of light, and I pray each of you experiences that light, in whatever way your faith or beliefs allow you to. Judi
