I posted the first message yesterday. I am pleasantly surprised to find

a reply to what I expressed. And, it is from Dr Shah. I find such

promptness very commendable. I have gone through some of the messages

since the inception of the site. It is more than obvious that Dr Shah

has played a big role in the success of this site. He still exudes

the 'josh' of a 'kishore'. I remember Dr Shah as a nice person in

college. He was known to be a talented man. To be frank, I had no

personal interaction with him. Perhaps I can get to know him better

through this site.

Dear Bharat,

Your words are music to my ears. However, much as I would like to single

handedly claim credit for the success of this group, that just would not be

honest. Our group is so vibrant and responsive only because so many of us

take the trouble to read and respond to the mails, despite our busy

schedules.

Thus, one need not write a lengthy treatise. A crisp " That's great! " should

gladden the writer's heart. Or even an " Eech! That was disgusting! " should

rein in the wayward scribe. And if you can pen some amusing episode which

happened during your golden years, that would be great.

Just one small point. All of us sign off with our name and batch number (see

bottom... I mean, this mail's*). I am sorry but I could not place you. Maybe

if you reveal your surname, I might get a clue. I was involved in drama,

elocution, Fancy fete, Exhibition, Sargam, Sushruta magazine, etc right

until I completed my MD. (In fact, my wife sometimes despairingly asks, " So

when did you study? " ) Hence, I will probably know you if you tell me your

name in full. (Are you by chance Bharat Sharma? I seem to recall one Bharat

Sharma from Milind Wable's and Rajeeb (Gopa's brother) Chatterjee's batch.)

Or maybe if you name some of your close friends.....?

Well, anyway, we are all waiting to hear more and more from you. I trust you

will be an active contributor to this site. You can start by telling us

where you are at present and what you are doing (besides producing

children... but we would like to know about that too, because we are an

inquisitive lot here! :) )
