~~~~~~~~Oh Happy day! I finished my last final! ~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’ve also done all my Christmas cards, bought and wrapped all but one or
two Christmas gifts, and I’ve got my tree decorated. Whew! Now I can relax
and enjoy the holidays. So far my pain is manageable, which is all I ask.
I’m doing a few days of a detox diet in hopes that I’ll feel a little better
during the holiday season. So far I’ve just got a headache, which makes me
think I might be better off waiting until January. We’ll see. I’m not
going to feel worse so that I can feel better. I still want to do a little
baking, and I have 4 church related activities to do this week. Next
Monday is my anniversary, then Tuesday I head out for the holidays. How is
everyone else doing with your holiday activities? I think writing things
down really helped me to keep a handle on what I’ve done and what needs to
be done. Thanks again for the great ideas.
Well, I’m going to go and relax. Stan’s out of town, and it’s a good night
to just veg out in front of the TV.
Love to all,
Carol
Congratulations Carol, I go to school, well at least I was. I had to drop this
semester due to the surgery. I know what a great feeling it is to be finished
finals. I am anxious to get back in January. My daughter Laurie is currently
in her room studying for her last final. She is a senior in college hoping to
go on to grad school.
Hi Kathy,
It sounds like you're really getting things done, too! Are you left handed?
If so, be careful with that knuckle when you do Christmas cards. The day
after writing out all my Christmas cards (even though I used address labels
for both addresses on many of them) I could barely move my hands. It only
lasted a day, but I didn't realize how much writing I had done.
I'm actually baking my pumpkin bread as I type this. I really enjoy baking,
but I left it for last because it's not a priority. I'm sure glad, though,
that I have the strength and ability to do it. I want to do as many loaves
as I can, because I can use them as extra gifts. I usually do pumpkin bread
before thanksgiving, as a fall gift, but I wasn't up to it this year. I
also want to do cookies, but I'm not giving them out as gifts this year.
They're too much work. I'll save the cookies for family.
Kathy, I'm glad you're getting into the Christmas spirit. I know it's a
tough time of the year, but I'm glad you're enjoying it. We're here for
you, too.
Lots of love,
Carol
