HI,

The difference between a ganglion cyst and bone cyst is that the

ganglion cyst is usually on top of a joint covering a tendon. One

large cyst or many smaller cysts may develop. Multiple cysts can give

the appearence of one or more cyst, but a common stalk within the

deeper tissue usually connects them.

A boney cyst is a noncancerous fluid filled cavity within the bone.

Hope that helps.

>Is a " bony cyst " the same as a ganglion (sp?) cyst?<

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interphalangeal_articulations_of_hand

Both problems were at the " proximal interphalangeal joints " .

The left thumb had a calcification on top of the joint that looked like the

crown of a tooth when it was shown to me after removal. The right forefinger

had " something like a ganglion or Bible cyst " , according to the surgeon, but

was complicated by a bony spur in the joint.

He took the thumb cyst off very quickly and I joked with him that I could've

done that but he really had to work on the right finger.

Since my last post I had an interesting experience with magnets as I posted

last night on Magnetictherapytoday...

By late yesterday all pain had stopped, then I put my two small mags back on

my fingers before bed, and the pain was immediate. Forced healing again I

guess.

I have taken no pain killers but have apologized to my dear wife numerous

times for my attitude.

I have a ganglion cyst at the joint of my ring finger. Had one once

before which went away. So I'm wearing my wedding band on the other

hand and hoping this one will do the same. My sister said the " old

treatment " for them used to be smashing them with a hammer.....NOT!

I'll live with it, thank you very much! I am glad the discomfort is

better for you. Pain affects my attitude too!

I also drink it to combat arthritis, which it does very well, and I mix it with V8 juice and don't notice any unpleasantness. Sometimes I add a little beer to make it even easier.....:) How much? One overflowing tablespoon into the juice.. ~Ross~

_______________

I've used V8 juice also, if you take it fast it's okay, I have never found anything to really helps the taste. Beer might be good, but I don't drink it. I generally put a couple of dropperfuls into V8-juice. I keep the DMSO for this in a 4 oz. dropper bottle, be careful that you do not get it into the rubber bulb on the top of the dropper, it will deform it if you do. To offset any body odor, when I take internally I always take 2 chlorophyll gel caps, three times during the day. If I use DMSO for a number of days I follow this regimen, it helps a lot. Once I discontinue the oral DMSO I go back to 1 gel cap of chlorophyll morning and evening. It's so good for your blood that I take it every day now. Cheers, Micki

It's absolutely a life saver for arthritis, both externally and internally, at least for me. I also get acupuncture once a month during the winter months. Along with DMSO I don't have a significant amount of pain anymore, except for cold or rainy mornings and it's just when I get up for about 5 minutes or so.
