Ii also drink it to combat arthritis, which it does very well, and I mix it with V8 juice and don't notice any unpleasantness.

Sometimes I add a little beer to make it even easier..... How much? One overflowing tablespoon into the juice..

Not sweet, rather bitter to me anyway. Always take on an empty stomach,some take it in orange juice, DB says not in milk although that is how Ioften give it to animals, or in chicken broth, what ever the dog or cat willdrink.Oral dosing can result in a short lived flash sort of headache, presumablydue to transient vasodilation.I have taken it orally with colloidal silver to kick a flu bug.
