Hello,

My son Ethan's right eye has been irritated the last two days - a

little pink/puffy lid and the corner of the eye is red. It is not

crusted over badly or anything like that. I took him into our clinic

and he does not have pink eye or an ear infection. The Ped. said it

may be viral since Ethan has a cold. Anyone else experience this?

Background - Ethan was/is a hyperimmune kid. He's gotten sick a few

times this year since starting Valtrex (been on it for 8 mos) and

Immunofactor 6 ( 1 mo.). Any thoughts would be great!

My son

gets pink looking eyes when his allergies flare up, its

his only real overt allergy symptom, if I give him Benadryl or Clarinex, it goes away.

But viruses can also produce this, they do usually go along with some

other symptoms though, but since your son is already on Valtrex,

maybe not…
