Guest guest
OK, so maybe I can see why my family doctor might not want to test my ferritin, B-12, D, etc. every time I go in while I try to get meds regulated. I just got the EOB for this last blood draw done on May 13th. Each of the different tests, 7 of them total, cost anywhere between 95 and 200 dollars. AND, the insurance is paying only a part of each of those. He is expected to write off over *$1000* in what they won't cover. They paid him like $70 for this and I didn't pay anything for the tests, presumably it is covered in the $15 office visit copay.... I have not been back for another blood draw, but of course I will, and with this kind of what I would call ludicrous differential, how will I ever be able to convince my doc to routinely do a full iron panel and the free T4 and T4?? Any ideas? Thanks in advance, -- Jamison Griebenow, skookie@...
