Guest guest
I have Chairi Malformation and had decmopression in 10/07. I'm doing okay, but still have some issues from that. My regular MD, has decided after months of testing that I also have another seperate issue going on and is sending me to a rhumetologist. It took me almost 2 months to get an appointment to get in to see this guy because he is suppose to be great, but then the paperwork arrives today before the visit and one of the papers that I'm suppose to sign says something like " we are not a disability doctor and we do not treat people who are trying to get disability " at the end of this statement it says I have not and WILL not file for disability " and I'm suppose to sign it. I'm having a very hard time with this. I have not filed for disability and I feel that it's far to early to know what lies ahead, but I just don't think that I can sign that. Anyone else ever dealt with anything like this trying to get in to see a doctor? I'm stunned because I thought the goal was to help patients get well or at least feel better, but this has added lots of stress! UGH! Guest guest
Sounds to me like they do not want to deal with the paper work that filing for disability makes for them. It took me 16 years before I finally filed for SSDI. I am now going through the system and there is alot of paper work. It has been over a year now and still no answer. I don't know if I would sign that. I am questioning if he can even do that. Please keep this on the board as I am interested in this. Let us know what you decide to do. Take care, Debi chiari, hydrocepahlus, PTC, NMH, kinked brainstem, scarring 2 decompressions, VP shunt, 6 shunt revisions > > I have Chairi Malformation and had decmopression in 10/07.
