Guest guest
I really did not catch an "attitude" with Madeline's reply. I did not catch an "attitude" until your reply. Madeline replied, and that was her thoughts. Sometimes... a lot of times there is no attitude until the reader reads the email and cops an attitude. What she wrote is what I was going to say...there are so many variables...is the basement totally enclosed...is there a door to the house that can leak vapors... are the 4 wheelers started in the basement before driving off.....and why did you think there was a problem with relatives with what Madeline said? It seems that there was a lot of injecting into what she wrote. Madeline did not write what she wrote to start this conversation, you did. And of course I took the bait. of course I would do that, because I have been the "source" of discord on this list according to some. Actually, I think about things, and when things bother me I get on and voice my opionion...no attitude, just a thought or opinion. I would hope that we can write what we think without being labeled with an attitude. We are all here to help each other......I thought. I know...some of you are tired of this "crap". But I had to stick up for Madeline....her post was ok to me. Still trying to find out how what she wrote injected relatives........ To: asthma Date: Saturday, November 1, 2008, 3:43 PM That is such a hard question to answer as asthma triggers vary widely from person to person. I would think that as long as the vehicles are not running for any length of time there wouldn't really be enough fumes for it to cause a real problem. The only way to tell is to get them out of there and see if it makes any difference. Madeline > > Hello group! My grandson is 5 and has asthma. Guest guest
I didn't want to start anything but I have to agree with Cindi on this one, I reread Madeline's post several times and saw nothing wrong with it. Please, group..... Remember this is email you can not see or hear the other other person to take exactly how they intend for their emails to come across, and I personally feel it's best if you have an issue with someone take it off the list and don't slam them on the list, that's a good way to cause hardship among the members and I would hate to see that happen here. Guest guest
Okay all! I really appreciate your support, but I did not get offended or upset with Noah. I understand that he has had a very very hard time with his family and environment. I have been very lucky that everyone accommodates and supports me as much as possible. I appreciate that we have a forum where we can openly discuss ideas and feelings. Good and bad! Let's not give Noah a hard time over this. It is ok. He didn't mean to slam me. Guest guest
My thought is that if theres no gas or oil in the 4 wheelers then it really shouldnt be too much of a problem...depending on the individuals triggers. If fumes from oil or gas set off the kids asthma, then no they shouldnt be in the basement empty or not. My dad always stored the lawnmower in our basement until we got our shed...he would run the lawnmower out of gas and then empty the oil first. I never smelled any fumes in the house (and obviously there werent any b/c gasoline fumes are more flammable than the gas itself is and can ignite a full football field away from their source...and our furnace was within feet of the lawnmower...and the house never went up). Anyway...Ill reiterate that I think its entirely dependent upon the person with the asthma. For some its not a problem...for others it is.McCain or Obama?
