Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I thought I'd address this to the entire group, because I got such an overwhelming show of support to my last e-mail, MRI results, surgery recommended. I went and saw my family doc today, who I feel is very educated and knows me probably better than anyone. He reviewed everything the NS told me. We talked about everything, from the bone spur on C4, the hemangomia on T6, the limited CSF flow, he said he'd heard great things about TCI (I think he had done a lot of research, I've been his patient since I was 18, and I'm 37 now). He agrees with me as I've decided to wait to have surgery. I know that many of you will disagree with my decision. But, I have to do what I feel is right. Someone e-mailed me and told me that Dr. B. told them that they'd no when surgery is right for them, and when your quality of life was so difficult. I'm not there yet. My doc is going to do some blood work and make sure there is nothing else underlying. Then we'll work out something for my bone spur and go from here. He says he feels that at my age, and where I'm at, that the risks of surgery outweigh the risk of waiting. I may change my mind as the days and months pass, but for now, that's what I feel is right for me. Thank you so much for all of your support. I may need more coming up! My prayers and support are with you all. Thank you so much for always being here and always listening. Becki
