Guest guest
Dear Betsy, Welcome to our group! There are quite a few of us who do not show positive on our bloodwork. There are many kinds of arthritis and immunological diseases and I think that it is a very good idea for you to see a rheumy. It is usually very hard to get an appt to see a rheumy and it may be at least a six week wait but it is definitely the right move. A rheumy will not use only bloodwork for a diagnosis but will complete a very thorough history. It sounds as though you are having joint deterioration and a rheumy will try to stop the progression. Let us know how you are doing. Guest guest
Hi and welcome to the group! This is a wonderful group of friends who have become very dear to me. a and , our moderators, share all the latest information on RA. And the rest of us are here to lend a “cyber-ear” , and hopefully offer some insight and advice, also. Like others have said, you really should see a rheumatologist. You could have seronegative RA, or another form of arthritis. Your symptoms certainly sound like my beginning symptoms, I’m sorry to say. Well, Happy Holidays! Love and hugs, Carol
Guest guest
Thanks Carol, the welcome from this group has been a wonderful thing for me! I've been really frustrated and find it hard to discuss this with anyone because unless you're going through a chronic pain type thing I don't think you have any idea! The information and advice has been great also. Thanks again, Betsy [ ] Betsy Hi and welcome to the group!
